It’s happened to you, too. You’re reading a text and you have to read a sentence or a paragraph a second time. Perhaps a third time, too.
There may be many reasons for this. One of these reasons is the order in which the author presented things or actions in a sentence. We may find it harder to read a sentence if this order doesn’t match the natural order we see and think about things.
